New PrePass® Sites Announced in Nine States

PrePass-approved trucks are receiving green lights to bypass more weigh stations in a number of new locations. Over the past year, PrePass Safety Alliance’s Board of Directors has approved 47 new bypassing sites in Illinois, Michigan, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas and Wisconsin, plus the Canadian province of British Columbia.

FMCSA Evaluates, Promotes Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

The ADAS project will be coordinated through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office but will rely heavily on the expertise and efforts of the American Trucking Associations, the American Transportation Research Institute, and the Technology and Maintenance Council. Together they will develop outreach and educational materials for use with fleets and commercial motor vehicle operators who may not be aware of the advantages offered by ADAS technologies.
