April 21, 2020
Guest: Chip Warterfield, Upstaging Lighting and Transport
Listen to how one trucking company came back from the brink after losing most all of its business, following the outbreak of the coronavirus in the U.S.
In this episode of the “Eyes on the Road” podcast, presented by PrePass, host Evan Lockridge talks with Chip Warterfield of the trucking company Upstaging Lighting and Transport. Upstaging is a 200-truck fleet that hauls lighting, rigging, staging and other items for concerts, plays and tradeshows. They talk about what Upstaging, including its drivers and other employees are doing to survive this crisis. They also discuss how its drivers, whose jobs are usually anything but typical for trucking, have been affected and how other fleets may want to follow what Upstaging has done.
“Eyes on the Road” is the official podcast from PrePass, the leading weigh station bypass and toll management platform. Other services include INFORM™ software and the MOTION™ app.
