The nation’s premiere weigh station bypass service, PrePass, continues expanding at a rapid pace, offering more opportunities for trucking companies to save time and money. So, what is fueling this growth?
First, PrePass has grown from a truck enrollment of just over 500,000 trucks in 2018 to more than 625,000 so far in 2019.
Second, in addition to enrollment growth, PrePass is rapidly expanding to new locations, offering service with either an RFID transponder, the mobile PrePass MOTION app, or both. A few of the recent additions include:
- British Columbia – A new agreement between PrePass and British Columbia’s Ministry of Transportation allows PrePass users to bypass weigh stations in British Columbia, adding 11 locations that are interoperable with the PrePass network.
- Texas – A dozen new sites in the Lone Star state have been equipped for PrePass MOTION, adding to five other PrePass sites currently in operation.
- PrePass also added three new sites in Montana, three in North Carolina and additional sites in California and Wisconsin.
Third, PrePass is the only weigh station bypass service provider offering two different technologies for bypassing. Fleets now have a choice of using the traditional RFID transponder, the MOTION mobile app or both. PrePass MOTION, available for iOS, Android and select telematics devices, offers bypassing at more locations than ever before – providing fleets greater coverage.
In addition, PrePass is the only service offering both bypassing and electronic toll payment services integrated in one device, saving fleets even more time and money.
No matter how you slice it, PrePass continues to get bigger AND better.
