The business of trucking could be in store for one of the biggest changes in ages. The reason is the sudden and increased interest in blockchain technology, which holds the potential to greatly alter how trucking transactions take place.
In this installment of “Eyes on the Road,” presented by PrePass, host Evan Lockridge kicks off the first part of a two-part series with the president of the Blockchain in Transport Alliance (BITA). Join them as they tell you what blockchain is, how it came into existence, how it can be used in trucking and how BITA is working with companies to help push the growth in blockchain.
The second installment, available in late November, will look at the practical implications of blockchain in trucking for both fleet managers and drivers, how it’s currently being used as well as future implications, including when it comes to truck maintenance and safety.
