New PrePass Whitepaper Explains FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse

Beginning Jan. 6, 2020, the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse will open. The goal is to close the current loopholes and help employers, law enforcement and state driver licensing agencies quickly identify drivers who are not legally permitted to operate commercial motor vehicles due to unresolved drug and alcohol violations.

FMCSA Evaluates, Promotes Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

The ADAS project will be coordinated through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office but will rely heavily on the expertise and efforts of the American Trucking Associations, the American Transportation Research Institute, and the Technology and Maintenance Council. Together they will develop outreach and educational materials for use with fleets and commercial motor vehicle operators who may not be aware of the advantages offered by ADAS technologies.
