9358423_gThe Lewis and Clark Bridge, formerly known as the East End Bridge, opened to electronic tolling last week, December 30, 2016. It was the final major piece of the $2.3 billion Louisville-Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges Project to open. The bridge connects Utica, Ind., and Prospect, Ky., and allows truckers to link up multiple routes through Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

This bridge, along with the new North Abraham Lincoln Bridge and the improved South Kennedy Bridge, will reportedly double downtown Louisville’s cross-river capacity. All three of the bridges will be tolled. Our current PrePass customers can use their existing transponders to pay the lowest rates.

More than 16,000 trucks per day are expected to utilize the bridges to save time and resources. If you’re planning to include these bridges in your business route but have yet to choose an in-cab transponder, head over to our website to learn if our PrePass, PrePass Tolls Only or PrePass Plus are the right choice for you.
